.IT Domain Name Registrations

Established in 1987, Italy’s dot IT country-code top-level extension is very popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for constructing inventive and appealing domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to construct an easy-to-remember domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to return to your website or to give it with colleagues and pals. The domain name extension can also be used for a website, which is connected to the technology sector having in mind that IT is an abbreviation, which is in use all over the world.

Taking into account that .IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administers this top-level domain name extension, such a domain can be bought through a third-party provider, such as ours. You can register a dot IT domain for no more than a year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our company and we will renew it the minute the transfer has been completed. Since there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of various regions and localities in Italy reserved for local 3rd-level registrations, new names that include geographical areas of any kind are not permitted on any level to avoid any future confusion.
